Dr. Jean McFadden Layton
Naturopathic Physician
Dr. Jean McFadden Layton is a Washington state licensed physician trained at the National
College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She uses many different modalities
to treat the entire patient.

She has completed advanced training in intravenous therapy,
CranioSacral Therapy and
complementary cancer care.

Naturopathic Medicine has its own philosophy used to guide Dr. Layton's choice of healing
therapies.

Dr. Layton was a professional chef in New York City prior to becoming a doctor and thus
brings a world of practical knowledge to her dietary advice.  She can lead you from a
typical SAD (standard American Diet) to the optimal diet to keep you happy, healthy and
thriving.

From personal experience, she is skilled at leading a person from ill health to wholeness.
She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of gluten intolerance and celiac disease.

She is in the process of writing two books. The first is a gluten-free cookbook.
The second’s working title is "Changing Your Child’s Moods by Playing with Their Foods."

Dr. Layton proudly serves on the board of the
Bellingham Gluten Intolerance Group
and is the founder and facilitator for the Bellingham Chapter of ROCK-Raising Our Celiac
Kids.

She proudly belongs to Sustainable Connections, the Women's Professional Network in
Bellingham and the
National Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

She was recently honored as a finalist for the Whatcom Women in Business Professional
Woman of the Year.  She is thrilled that Alta McClelland of
Hardware Sales was the
winner.

She is a skilled herbalist, gourmet cook, a talented spinner and knitter as well as the
proud mom of twin girls. She enjoys coaching young women to develop their potentials
as leader of a Multi-Level Girl Scout Troop in Bellingham.
